How do you like your coffee?

How do you like your coffee? We have three kick-ass types of delicious, strong and punchy coffee types, which will offer something for every taste bud and lifestyle. But remember, how you like your coffee will reveal who you are deep down – so make sure you choose carefully.

Let`s start with the raw material; Mongrel Joe`s Coffee Beans. This bag of wonder comes in two different sizes, 200 grams and 1 Kg for those of you who do not mess around. Coffee beans are the canvas of any good cuppa, and allows you to transform your perfectly roasted beans into any grade of grind you might like. Coffee beans are for you who likes to explore new things and be creative.

Maybe you don’t have a favourite grind, or maybe you like to show off to your visitors and allow them to choose individually? Maybe you can think of so many uses for the coffee bean that you simply need it for many purposes – in fact, did you know that coffee beans are great for gardening? Not only do they fertilize your plants and vegetables, but they also repel ants and makes rich compost. You can also use them to treat yourself to a wonderful hair cure, exfoliator or even cellulite scrub – how fancy. I mean, there is no end to this coffee bean madness, and I am sure you can come up with even more creative ways to make use of your beans. But for now I think I would advise you to just grind it, soak it and drink it – traditional style! Do you not have time to grind your own blend? Then I will guess you are a man of Espresso. Espresso is created from the process of forcing boiling water through finely grinded coffee beans.

Dense coffee flavour

This creates a highly concentrated coffee with a dense flavour and potency. Espresso has more caffeine per drop of coffee, but since it is normally served in such small volumes, it actually gives you less caffeine per cup than a normal brew. Espresso is the most popular choice in the country of coffee itself; Brazil. In fact, the most common cup of coffee in Brazil is a tiny cup of potent espresso, with sugar! Mongrel Joe’s Ground for Espresso comes in 200g and 1 Kg bags, so if you are a ‘no bullshit kinda guy’ then you get what you ask for! Finally, we provide a grind specially made for plungers. Here you can also choose between Mongrel Joe’s ground for plunger (French press) 200g, and 1 Kg. The process from grind to perfectly brewed coffee starts with pre-heating your plunger with boiled water and then replacing the water. Then you should add one tablespoon of coffee per cup of water and stir gently before placing the lid. You should only leave it for a few minutes because if you leave it for too long it will result in bitter coffee. The trick is to depress the plunger slowly to avoid spilling and to make sure all the coffee goes down to the bottom. This is a coffee for those who enjoy the silence and fresh sense of roasted coffee beans lingering in the halls. But make sure you close your windows to avoid having all of your neighbours begging on your doorsteps!

Make sure you think long and hard about these alternatives before you decide, and avoid spontaneous buys, because remember; coffee is serious business, and you have to make sure you can handle it! Mongrel Joe`s is not for the weak hearted, nor the weak minded. So do you have what it takes?
